Calculating step

The Calculating step is a short “we’re preparing your result” animation. It builds anticipation between a quiz (or similar) and the next screen — often a paywall or email capture.

What you configure

  • Title and optional subtitle
  • Duration — how long the loading animation runs before moving on
  • Progress steps — short status lines that appear in sequence (for example "Analyzing your answers…")
  • Clarification modals — optional mini-questions that pause the loader between progress lines

Clarification modals

Use Clarification Modals when you want one more answer during the wait — for example goal, budget, or experience level — without adding a full Quiz step.

  1. In the Calculating step panel, open Clarification Modals.
  2. Click Add modal.
  3. Choose Show after progress line — the modal appears right after that loading line finishes.
  4. Set the question, optional subtitle, answers, and Continue button label.
  5. Add more modals if needed; each can trigger after a different progress line.

Visitors must answer before the loader continues. Answers are not scored on this step — use a Score Result step if you need weighted results.

When to use it

Use it when a pause makes the next offer feel more personal or “computed.” Skip it if you prefer a faster, more direct path to the offer.
