Quiz step
The Quiz step asks one question per screen. You choose the format: single choice, multiple choice, scale, free text, or image choice.
Single choice and image choice advance automatically after the visitor picks one answer.
Set up the question
Write a clear question and optional description. You can also add a question image above the text, pick an Image shape, and Generate it from the question text. See Step images for shape options.
Add answers with visible text. For richer choice screens, answers can also include emojis or images. Image choice answers should usually have an image for each option — upload tiles or Generate per answer from the question and answer label.
For a scale, set the min/max and labels so people understand the ends of the range.
Answer layout
For choice-based questions, choose how the answers appear:
- Stacked rows — one answer per row; best for longer copy.
- 2 columns — compact side-by-side options; best for short answers.
- Compact wrap — tag-like buttons that wrap across the available width.
These layouts work for single choice, multiple choice, and image choice.
Branching
Connect different next steps from the quiz so each answer, or combination in a multi-choice question, can lead to a different path — for example a personalized offer or message.
Scoring
Quiz answers can feed a Score Result step. Configure the participating quiz questions and answer weights on the Score Result step, not inside the quiz question itself.
Tips
- Keep questions easy — you are guiding, not testing.
- Use quizzes to segment ("beginner vs advanced") before the paywall.
- Use multiple choice when people can select several items, such as symptoms, habits, or known vocabulary words.
- Too many questions increases drop-off; three to seven is a common sweet spot for acquisition funnels.
